Grace Lundergan

Erika Mendez Medina

Grace Lundergan is an experienced legal assistant in our Las Cruces office. She assists with all types of immigration and removal defense cases, including I-601 waivers of hardship, U-visa applications for crime victims, family-based petitions, and stays of deportation.

Ms. Lundergan graduated summa cum laude from The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio with a dual degree in English and Spanish. While in college, she studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador. She completed a senior thesis that focused on three novels by Isabel Allende.

Ms. Lundergan grew up in Indiana, but she has also lived in both Spain and Mexico. She spent a year teaching English in Spain and later worked for a study abroad program in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish and loves learning about other cultures.

She originally came to the border in 2012 to be part of the volunteer program Border Servant Corps. As part of that program, she worked at ACLU Regional Center for Border Rights. She later worked at Catholic Charities Legal Services Program and became an accredited representative. At Catholic Charities, she worked mostly on family-based immigration cases, including many waivers of hardship. She is passionate about immigrants’ rights and social justice.

Ms. Lundergan is the secretary of the board of Border Servant Corps. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, reading, and traveling.
